Something doing the rounds at the minute that gave me a laugh:
As a 1930s wife, I am
How they came up with that I’ll never know!!
I’ve also had a chance to do some scrapping!
Another project I have in my mind is an abstract painting, possibly with a bit of a collage happening as well, depending on how it turns out. I will be using a canvas I already have I think, unless I change my mind (me? change my mind? never!), and decide on a flat canvas.
But, the canvas I have, I have already used for a painting:
Acrylic on canvas, with the people in pastel & the shadows in pencil. It’s an impressionist painting I did late last year, inspired by my son & husband on the beach.
And just cos I can, a close up of the people:
It was my first ever painting, and I was quite happy with how it turned out. But since I painted it, it has been hiding on top of my bookshelves. So now my dilemma is, do I paint over it, for the abstract I have in mind, or should I hang it as a record of my starting point, and buy a new canvas?
