Barefoot Behind the Scenes :: Something new!

A couple of months ago, I shared my blog planner, and with it, a section marked “newsletter”. Then I got busy, then talked myself out of doing anything, then talked myself into signing up for mailchimp, then got stuck on getting the design to do what I want, then gave it up as a bad joke, then went on holidays, then came home and freaked out a bit more. Then two weeks ago, I joined a twitter chat about newsletters (#creativebizchat) and it was the kick up the backside I needed. I’ve been looking at templates on Creative Market*. I have a content outline and am starting to fill in the spot designated “talk about X” here, and working out how to add value for my newsletter subscribers, and ways of delivering exclusive content. All stuff that is kind of important, but also stuff I could over-think from now until 2057. So, I’ve decided to take the plunge, and give myself a deadline.

launching my new newsletter

I’m so excited to open sign-ups today for my newsletter, Creating Barefoot Style, which will go out on the first of the month, starting from 1st October. I will be sharing some general behind the scenes chatter, a sneak peek of what I’m working on (& the occasional discount code or early shopping access to new releases), tutorials, and of course, what is a newsletter sign up without a freebie? I will have a sign-up printable that will change every month or two, and the new printable will be available to not only new subscribers, but will also form part of the monthly newsletter, so everyone on the list will have access to it.

What do you think? Sound like something you wouldn’t mind seeing in your inbox? Pop your email in below & I’ll be sending out the first printable on Friday (until I figure out how to get MailChimp to send it automatically when you sign up).
