Spreading the blog header love.

After my post yesterday for Ruth’s blog header, a few of my other quilting girls have requested I have a play for them, so be prepared to be inundated with blgo headers.   This one is for Tracey. I hope you like it, I won’t be offended if you don’t!   Just click on the image to see it at full size.   Now I’m going

blog header for Ruth

A fellow blogger asked me to have a go at making her a blog header, and it’s just as easy to host it here!   I hope you like it Ruth, no pressure to use it if you don’t like it!

6 things!

So, I’ve been tagged by Shannon! Here are the rules … 1. Link to the person who “tagged” you. 2. Post the rules on your blog. 3. Write six random things about yourself. 4. Thrift shopping

I popped into the Salvo’s op-shop on my way to the library this morning, and spent the huge amount of $5! I grabbed two vintage pillowcases, a bag of buttons, and two books, destined to be part of a collage. My haul:   the fabric:   I’m not 100% sure what these will become yet, I am thinking maybe a cute little apron? Hmmm… don’t

Mummy Monday

What better way to front up to a new week than to hit the ground running? The housework was done early, stories had been read, hokey-pokey’s danced, and it was time to get busy! Thought of the day

From Sunrise this morning, it has really struck a chord. Have you danced today? Don’t wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain

6 blocks down!

Well, I’ve had a productive weekend. We’ve made our son a sandpit, and I finally got around to cleaning my office out & turning it into (mainly) my studio. And with my own creative space, inspiration has hit, hard. Expect to see lots of new stuff in the next few weeks!   My Jacob’s Ladder quilt is progressing nicely, I have 6 blocks completed, out

Laughs, Life & Creativity

Something doing the rounds at the minute that gave me a laugh:   63 As a 1930s wife, I am Superior Take the test! How they came up with that I’ll never know!! ~~~ I’ve also had a chance to do some scrapping!     ~~~ Another project I have in my mind is an abstract painting, possibly with a bit of a collage happening

Sick Bubba…

Poor Little Bear has been sick the last few days, so no sewing or scrapping to be shown at the minute. I did, however, get a chance to do some baking today. Very simple, but oh so yummy! I love these bikkies, they are made from my great-grandmother’s recipe, and remind me of a time when I wasn’t so grown-up, or so busy. Just the
