Where I Stand {this week}

                     It’s been a good week this week. Beetle had a cold, and sick baby snuggles have taken over my crafting time for a good chunk of the week, but I still managed to get a bit of stuff done – most notably February’s project life, the cover of my blog planner (pages to come this week), and two

Project Life :: February

I sat in front of my computer a couple of weeks back, coffee in hand, baby in bed, steeling myself for the task of culling, editing & uploading February’s photos. Much to my surprise, I only ended up chosing 15 to tell the story of our month – a big change on January’s 100+. I think there are multiple factors that caused such a massive

  Another week done – I can’t believe we are coming up to the last full week of March! This week I’ve slowly been hitting my stride again after a flat weekend last week, and am having so much fun in the studio. So. Many. Ideas.  Other fun stuff I’ve found as my bare feet took me around the interwebs this week: These cute

 No links this week – I’m blogging from my phone with not one but two snuggly unwell boys. In perfect timing, it was cool enough to call Quilt Season open. I’ve made cards and fidget toys, I’ve worked on some bags & made a travel clutch. I have inspiration & mojo coming out my ears, but for today, I’m resting with my babes &

Snug as a bug in a tea cozy {commission}

I know, I know. It’s all I seem to blog at the minute. But this is the last commission I haven’t shared with you yet. This was super fun. A lovely friend in Canada shared a picture of her new mugs. But poor little mugs had heard about Canadian winters, it seems, and came prepared – they wore little cabled mug jumpers. Or sweaters, to

Project Life 2015

2014 was a bit of a muddle in terms of Project Life & what I was doing. I switched from weekly print-at-home to in-theory weelky print-at-Harvey Norman which mergeed into fortnightly or even monthly “oh crap I’m so far behind”. I also started the year with the Honey edition & all it’s co-ordinating bits, & ended the year mixing in some Studio Calico kits.

letterpress notecards {Blogtoberfest Day 6}

LWD-6142-002

Ever since I started letterpressing, I’ve dreamed of making my own plates. With the Beetle’s birthday as good an excuse as any, I finally got myself organised, and designed some hand-drawn elements I would use regularly in cards and Project Life, and digitised them in Illustrator. I also thought some letterpress notecards would be a bit of fun for sending out with snail mail, and

My new art cabinet.

My dad loves woodwork. Which is really useful when I want need some new furniture and have something specific in mind (can we talk about my fabulous 4.2m long full height bookshelf?). So when I mentioned something about needing a couple of storage cabinets for my studio, my dad (who really should know better, he’s only known me for how long now?) told me to

Blogtoberfest 2014 :: AKA apparently I’m crazy

It doesn’t seem all that long since I wrote 33 posts in 31 days for Blogtoberfest 2012, certainly, in many ways, not two whole years. But in others, it seems a lifetime ago. In those two years I’ve fallen pregnant, grown a baby, given birth & raised that tiny human from a newborn into a very active, very cheeky, very adorable toddler. My creative life
