The Aussie WIP Wednesday

With five hours in the car ahead of me (as well as five hours home), I foresaw some quality ripple time in my future. I bundled it up, with the next two colours I needed (like, there’s no point getting too excited, it is, after all, five hours in the car with four children and a husband that appreciates being thrown the odd conversational bones). Then. 2.5 hours in. Disaster.

Yarn roulette. Such a lovely relaxing way to pass an afternoon. — Little White Dove (@thedovenest) July 8, 2014

I knew I was going to lose, but I kept going. For a bit, anyway.

Aaand the yarn wins. Drats. — Little White Dove (@thedovenest) July 8, 2014

Of course. So instead I got to twiddle my thumbs and read a bit. Which is nice, but when I had planned to make decent inroads on the current colour block, also frustrating. Look at it. Look how close I was. Drats.

The Aussie WIP Wednesday linky

Keeping with the crochet theme – last week Amy shared her crochet baby blanket. And the week before, AJ started a very pretty new ripple. ~~~

Have you been creating something this week? Link up with your WIP posts (please link the actual post, not your main blog page) in whatever creative form you like, from 9am AEST Wednesday to 12 midnight AWST the same day. Help spread some encouragement by popping around one or two others and leaving a comment.  Easy as that!

{THE FINE PRINT – Please note, this is a WIP linky. Please only link up posts from the past week about a creative work in progress. For finished projects and tutorials, why not head over to the And Sew We Craft linky party? Link backs are appreciated but not required.}

    I know only too well the feeling or running out of yarn just when you get into your groove!

    On the plus side I’ve made some great progress on my blanket for Ethan since last week. He has taken over the design process and keeps adding other colours. He is also a hard task master as he keeps reminding me that it’s cold and he needs the blanket finished asap!

      Nagging little people are good motivators, aren’t they? Looking forward to seeing your progress 🙂

      Get the second one done and then we’ll talk 😉

      I did take extra – of the next colours! First time I’ve finished a ball mid row.

Welcome!

Hi! I'm Rachel. I love making things & experimenting with new techinques & mediums. I am addicted to pretty paper, and make & sell letterpress stationery. Being creative is my sanity break from the rush of life as a wife, and a mother of four. I do a lot of my creating without shoes. This is the story of where my bare feet & creative heart take me.
