And we are GO for launch!

It’s the first! And I can finally hook into the books that have been taunting me this past week! If you are stuck for ideas, check out this list of great summer reads found by Helen (or, more correctly, Mr Helen). I’ve also added “Mary Bennet” to my list after seeing the review on Adventures of A Subversive Reader. Kylie’s blog also has some good reviews.

So. Here’s the plan. At the end of each month, I will post about what I’ve been reading. I’d love it if you’d do the same, and come leave a link in the comments. Then in the first week of the month, I’ll do a round-up post and link to you. If you are tweeting or instagramming, feel free to use the #thirteen13 hashtag so I can find you.

Extra bonus – for everyone signed up by January 15, I’m thinking of having a little giveaway. How does a Book Depository voucher sound? That link there is an affiliate link, by the way, so using that means I get a small commission. Which I’m planning on using to fund some giveaways during the year. Win-win, really.

Not signed up yet? Link up here:

Then add the button to your post or sidebar to spread the love:

<div align="center"><a href="http://thedovenest.wordpress.com/tag/1313/" title="Little White Dove"><img src="http://thedovenest.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/13-13button.jpg" alt="Little White Dove" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

Who’s ready? On your marks. Get Set. READ!!!!

I still am trying to figure out if I am doing the 13 genre’s. I will start reading and see if I can find books to fill them.

Go on, it will be fun! And it’s only a bit more than one book a month, nothing too onerous. Looking forward to seeing your books and your instagrams 🙂

Thanks, hopefully it will be a good challenge to try out some new books instead of re-reading old favourites *again*. Hellllloooo Library Card!

I have started a book club with friends, where we will meet once a month. This should keep us all reading. I came over from IBOT.

Great idea Rach, I’ve been lamenting my lack of reading. Was given a book for Xmas, Autumn Laing by Alex Miller, perfect kickstart. I read Foal’s Bread by Gillian Mears last year which was a beautiful book. Set in country Australia with a horse theme, but no cliche’s at all. Raw, poetic and tragic. Would really recommend it.

Oooo, I’ll be sure to add that to my list. I’ve managed to make a decent dent in The Book Thief today, might get this house whipped into shape once the small people are in bed and park myself on the lounge and keep going! Thanks for joining in!

I wish I knew how to fit in more reading time on top of more blog reading/commenting time. Being a slower reader, I don’t always have the memory cells needed to remember the start of a book to the with too many interruptions 🙁 I do love to read something in a couple clean hits 🙂

It’s certainly a juggling act. I’ve culled my everyday blog list to a handful of my absolute favourite must reads. But then I consider myself a crafter first, blogger second, would likely be a different story if it was the other way around.

I’ve been enjoying being able to read a little since I’ve been on holidays. I dare say that once I get back to reality though, it will drop off again.
