19::20 {white velvet cake}
PROJECT PROGRESS: 19/20
OCCASSION: practice for “someone’s” birthday
BRIEF & RATIONALE: It looked like something that the birthday “someone” would love.
SOURCE: http://www.nlrockrecipes.com/2012/10/white-velvet-cake.html via Pinterest
EASE OF MAKING: 8/10
CHILD FRIENDLY? not really
REALITY V COOKBOOK: Pretty close – though I used a white chocolate ganache instead of the marshmallow frosting, and went with a single layer square cake instead of double layered round. I was happy with the result.
TASTE: 732560/10
FINAL VERDICT: OH EM GEE. Can’t talk. Eating cake. (Almost disappeared before I remembered to take a photo!)
This is project number four (two of at least two in October – I’m just late posting it!) in my “totally pinspired” challenge to turn my pins into projects. We are aiming to complete a minimum of two pins a month. For all my Totally Pinspired projects, click here. You can find my Pinterest boards here, and my completed pins board here. If you’ve been totally pinspired as well, I’d love to see what you’ve been making!
Yeah. My Birthday’s not till May – but hey hats off to you for allowing 6months practice to perfect said cake 😉
Looks yum and I hope “someone” had an awesome birthday.
I need plenty of time to practice 😉 will bring one to Camp Kylie for you.
