ADVENTure 2024 (blogalong day 1)
Tis the season to get crafty (fa lalala, lala la la) and maybe go a little crazy (fa lalala, Lala la la)
Don we now, all of the projects (fa la la, fa la la, la la la)
Ok, possibly my blog “singing” is as terrible as my real life singing. And possibly the insanity of the tasks I’ve set myself this month has sent me batty already! Advent is one of my favourite times of the year, and a key part of making a magical festive season, is crafting all the things. I thought last year’s ten projects I took on was a record, but apparently that craziness (that included failing blogalong!) wasn’t enough. This year? I have FIFTEEN.
Yes, I’m mad. Shall we have a roll call?

Advent blogalong (1) is a constant, so it was automatically on the list, but I decided to ramp it up a bit to also have a crack at Vlogmas on YouTube (2) as well. Then we dropped a cheeky li’l podcast episode on Friday, announcing our advent prompt list, {make it} Merry (3).
There’s lots of memories to be made during our big boy’s last Christmas before moving out of home, so of course I’m doing December Daily (4), plus I’ve added an Insta a day with The Minister and Secretary For Enabling (5). Bible journaling (6) is another standard addition, as is the advent readalong (7), and art Journal Advent (8) has become a must do. The Minister returned fire and dragged me into a cute little diamond dot (9), and a gnomish watercolour class (10) as well.
Then the Department of Stitcheries got involved and linked us up with a daily embroidery (11), which I jumped on board with, forgetting I’d already started designing a cross stitch (12). I have Quiltmas from last year I want to finish (13), and picked up some cute christmas yarn for festive socks (14).
With all that, I’m going to need a sanity break, so let’s round out the list with 12 Wines of Christmas (15), and just last week, we added the Chrimbo Comfort Watch (16), where we will reboot our pandemic watch party for the christmas eps of some of our favourite shows.
Add in kids advent + Camp Barefoot (more on that on Tuesday!), and it’s shaping up to be a super mani month – the only way to approach the silly season, in my opinion, is to lean into the silly and go completely round the bend.

Twenty four days, eighteen ways to make some magic. Let’s do this.

I don’t know what all the things on your list is about but I’m here for it!
Me, I have NO December or Christmas plans at all, and that feels a bit sad now. Maybe keep blogging in December?
And what, pigs & hens as well? Whaaat? 🙂
Merry December!
It’s a little bit of a crazy list, isn’t it! But it makes life interesting! I’d love to see what Christmas looks like for you if you have the bandwidth to keep blogging <3
