Advent week one :: blogmas day seven

What. A. Week. It’s been a corker of a start to the silly season, and I’m 300 kinds of behind already! The tree went up last Sunday evening, and while we still have the outside decos to get up, the walls and halls are decked with alllll the handmade decorations. There’s cross stitches and stick trees and felt banners and paper nativities. Diamond dots and cat boxes and village scenes and vending machines. The trolley is chockas with all manner of festive fun, there’s a pile of craft kits under the tree, and there’s boxes arriving daily as I hit the tail end of the christmas shopping. Most excitingly, Bear has packed up his room at uni and we’ve done a flying trip to Sydney to bring him home for two whole months.

Let’s do a quick whip around the list to check the state of play at the end of week one:

Blogalong – I am missing two days due to travel, but I plan to catch those up this week

Vlogmas – ditto! I do have the footage loaded into iMovie and just waiting on voiceovers, so again, hopefully I can catch those up in the next couple of days also.

Art Journal Advent – I have done one of seven pages

December Daily – photos are taken, all I need to do it add the overlays and get them printed.

Instax a Day – on track! I think I may have missed one day, so I will get them in the album this week and assess catch up plans

Readalong – I’m EIGHT books of my four book goal, so I’ll call it a win but also will continue to aim for a book a week until Christmas

Bible Journaling – on my list for catch up this week, I needed a new cricut blade before I could start!

Cross stitch – not yet started

Gnome – Hat almost knitted

12 mini paintings – not yet started

Movie marathon – 0/4 movies watched, and 2/8 christmas episodes from some old fave shows watched.

Other achievements of the week: I sewed my christmas dress! It’s looking super cute and I can’t wait to wear it tonight. Maybe I can squeeze in some time to make some earrings as well??
