Aussie WIP Wednesday :: CassandraMadge

Hi all my lovely WIP people! A big hello and thankyou to Rachel for letting me hop along with you today!

I’m Cassandra, I blog over at CassandraMadge, or you can find me as @hillscass on Instagram. I’m a wife, mother of 2 teenage boys and 2 puppies and I have been crafting away for goodness knows how long. I dabble in a bit of everything from my first passion which is photography, through dressmaking, knitting, crochet, mixed media art, and my final passion, which is quilting. I also turn vintage books into marvellous journals, and I was a scrapbooker for many years. Although I suffer from chronic health issues which makes my output not quite as prolific as I’d like. I love following along with other people’s works in progress to get my inspiration and a crafty fix!

It looks like Australians aren’t quite ready to let go of winter yet – I loved the woolly cheer and goodness shared by Narelle at Cook Clean Craft, but in particular this beautiful crochet blanket

I really like her idea of leaving it in front of the TV and stitching a row or two as she has time… it’s a great way not to feel overwhelmed by the size of a project!

Following on the wintery theme is Skipper at Skipper’s Creative Expressions who shared some scrap wool Granny squares that she is hooking up for a sampler to complement a class on crochet she is teaching. I would love to learn beyond the basics that I already know – look how adorable these 2 blocks she whipped up are!
