blogtober day 2 :: on the trolley

A new month is always a good chance for a bit of a reset, and after missing my trolley clean out in September – partly because of birthday season, partly because I was in a wee rut – I’m well and truly ready for a good clean out and freshen up of my active projects.

A little before and after:

In my trolley this month:

Top: my good camera + a spare lens for my photo a day project, my film camera (five shots to finish the roll!), my iPad, a handful of bookmarks, and my hand cream.

Middle: my collage journal, kindle, a non-fiction book I really want to finish this month, a novel I found on FB marketplace, a flower reference book, a pair of socks I’m supposed to be knitting for Mr Barefoot (that I’m kind of ignoring but also are a good project to chuck in my bag for an outing), my planning sketchbook, creative notebook, general sketchbook, weaving bobbins, and some slow stitching

Bottom: my crochet blanket + yarn bag. This will be the last appearance of the blanket for this year, and I would really love to get it finished this month, rather than pack it away for a third summer. I’m currently half way through part seven of eight, so it’s doable if I focus of an evening and actually pick it up and work on it while watching a show or listening to an audiobook, rather than playing stupid games on my stupid phone.

I feel so much lighter already! Today, I’m planning on working on a major element for my current assemblage project, and picking away at the crochet. I also need to do some work for my various non-profits; there’s a round two of logo design for soup kitchen and an audit for church to make progress on. Two of the three at-home children are at work, leaving just me and Beetle at the school table. One on one we should be able to power through his lessons in short order (aside from maths which takes three times as long as the rest combined), and maybe play a game. My spring cleaning list is looking at me reproachfully, and the weather is so glorious I’d love to fit in a walk as well. We’ll see. Happy Thursday friends!

It’s lovely to have a fellow blogtoberer. Well done on the tidy trolley and I hope you get to complete all those projects. My yarn basket could do with a good sort out and as for all my other projects; they are scattered far and wide. B x
