…EMBRACE December…

It’s a little crazy to think I’m sitting down, ready to EMBRACE the last goal setting post of the year. December goals are both easy and hard – there’s a whole lot going on, so lots of options to choose from, but then how do I narrow down all the everything into three short monthly goals? By combining them! I have no less than five craftalongs I’m planning on for this month. FIVE. What was I thinking?

ALL THE ALONGS: In December, I plan to participate in December Daily + Art Journal Advent (in one combined book). Then there’s the Advent bloglong, the Christmas read along, and the Gnome 2.0 stitchalong. If you see me scrolling, maybe remind me of all the things I have to do?

REST: It’s the end of the year and I am tired. I’m grouchy. I am so very ready for a break, so in between all the alongs, I will be listening to my body and resting when I need to. I do not need to be crafting every minute that I’m not ferrying the children wherever they’ve decided they need to be. Not every second needs to be instagram crunchy mum perfect. Sometimes, it’s ok to collapse on the couch with a cup of tea and scroll Pinterest. That to-do list isn’t going anywhere.

THE MAGIC OF THE SEASON: I’m feeling the weight of my children’s fleeting years at home more than ever this year. Those precious years of belief are coming to a close, as too are the years of all my babies at home enjoying the advent fun. More than ever, I am determined to make each and every day jammed packed with festive fun and creative goodness. I have my advent activity list prepped, I have the calendar set up, and we are ready to rock this next month.

For those of you who celebrate Christmas and Advent, I’d love to hear some of your favourite ways to get in the festive spirit? If you celebrate something different at this time of year, I’d love to hear about your traditions also. Drop a comment below and let me know!

For the very last time in 2022, I’m ready to EMBRACE the coming month, whatever it may bring. It’s going to be crazy and busy and fun and frustrating and magical and mundane. Hello December, let’s make this last hurrah fabulous!
