on the trolley :: August

My poor old trolley was looking more than a little the worse for wear. June was so busy I just didn’t get around to resetting it – and there didn’t seem much point, when I wasn’t really making much. June was epically doldrummy. July was all about holidays – we left on the 28th June, and by the time we got home on 16th July, it didn’t seem worth doing a “monthly” reset half way through the month. (This is possibly the point I remind myself any day is a good day for a fresh start).

During all that, every random thing I touched that I couldn’t be bothered putting away or finding a home for ended up on the trolley. School lesson plans. Books I promised a friend. Random charger cables. Half forgotten projects. It was well and truly time for a clear out, and I already feel so much better and more motivated!

On the couch – Quiltmas 2023, down to one block to quilt

Top shelf – two pairs of socks just needing ends woven in and blocking

Middle shelf – novel, iPad, notebook, flower book, writing book current sock knit

Bottom shelf – crochet blanket

Honestly, that crochet blanket is becoming a real bugbear. If I can’t get into it before the next reset, I think I’m going to frog at least the current round, and replace it with something more enjoyable to work up. Otherwise, I’m excited to have a clean slate and get stuck into this month’s projects – I’m hoping the quilt might even get finished tonight!
