on the trolley :: December {blogmas day three}

In the cool of the morning, with the doors thrown open to bring in the fresh air, and the cicadas screaming their excitement for the impending silly seasons; as my babies slumbered, I stole twenty minutes to clear and reset my trolley, for the final time this year.

2024 has been a ride, and December promises to be as relentless. Some of which is self inflicted, granted, but some is just the madness that life throws at us, and this month especially, I’m running on lists, coffee and the hubris to think I can keep up with all the things.

In the top shelf, I have my December Daily album, instax album, art journal advent and journaling bible, plus my favourite hand cream, my sketchbook I have four pages left on and want to finish this month, spare install film, and my watercolour journal for a class I’m doing.

In the middle, there’s a diamond dot kit, my creative planner, kindle**, and cross stitch, along with a pouch for shuttle tatting, a pouch for my journaling papers, and no less than three cameras (because of course I NEED three cameras in easy reach).

And the bottom is taken up with fabric I picked up at Spotlight** to make some Christmas cushions, my bag with charity knitting, and three craft kits I picked up on clearance at the coast on the weekend.

It feels so good to have it all set up ready to roll, and make the crafting side of this month run a little smoother. The other sides of life? They are coming whether I like it or not, so I may as well lean into the crafty madness and ground myself in creativity. Hello December, let’s make some magic.
