on the trolley :: November
Last month, I only did a quick switch over – I was still recovering from having my wisdom teeth removed, Blogtober was in full swing, and my main focus was rearranging enough to make space for my cameras for #MOCStober. It was also a transitional month; the nights were cool enough for a bit of crochet (thought I didn’t do any), there were a couple of projects I was hoping to finish (but didn’t). November has swept in and brought with it scorching days and total fire bans and a mojo blast, and so I’ve given the trolley a full overhaul to better reflect this month, and how I use my trolley.

I’m more regularly bringing it into the craft room as an additional space & storage; previously it’s mainly been the lounge room, and occasionally into the school room. This month, I’m undertaking a daily bible journaling project called Gratitude Documented, and am working in my new bible that is significantly larger than my previous one, and is a bit of a pain to pull down from it’s high shelf each day. I’m also using my new prismacolour set, so I didn’t want to put those pencils into my drawing drawer to get mixed in just yet, I wanted to keep them seperate. My trolley is the perfect place to store my bible, and my pencils once I popped them in a jar. On the top layer, I also cleared out all the novels; they’ve been there since mother’s day and am clearly not getting to them in a hurry. Instead, I added a new book I was given for my birthday last week – the first grown-up gift from my now-adult son – that I am already almost half way through. I also popped a tube of hand cream in the top for a little bit of evening self-care.
The middle layer had one of its biggest shifts since autumn. My sketchbook exercise guide moved down there, along with my creative planner, writing book, and kindle. I did move one of the novels down onto this shelf as well, as I have started it and don’t want it to get lost and forgotten on the bookshelf. Because I’m an eternal optimist, I also kept my sock knitting on this shelf, and my cross stitch that I’m planning to make my next school table project once my shawl gets too large for working on as the summer progresses.
On the bottom shelf, I’ve taken out my crochet blanket to hibernate until next winter, and instead of used that shelf for our games selection this month. For November, our games are Skyteam (still), Yahtzee, Happy Little Dinosaurs, a new one called Crytpo Coin, and a simple pack of cards.
It feels good to have had a big clean out, and completely reset the trolley, ready to finish the year strong.

I think we all have crafting containers that migrate into different parts of the house! Usually when the craft room is in need of sorting.

Hahah so accurate!! My main current project is currently taking over the school room so I don’t have to deal with the craft room!
I see lots of deskers use those trolleys and they seem really useful. enjoy your Bible journalling. HappyWOYWW Helen#2
It’s been one of the best value additions to my craft room organisation!
Hi there Rachel, thanx for visiting my blog yesterday and so fun to see your trolley and what you keep in it. That’s a LOT, happy crafting and happy, belated, woyww. Hug from Holland, Marit #14
Loving the way you organise your trolley Rachel. Hope you manage to get time to work on all those projects this month. Sorry I am late commenting but I had to rush out yesterday morning then got told last minute we had a 2 hour meeting after school! Happy WOYWW. Sarah
Sounds like a busy day for you! Thanks for stopping by!
Very cool to have a trolley you can move around with you! I have 3 in my art room, but they don’t go anywhere. They are very convenient, though, to move out of the way to get to something behind them. I love how you switch up the contents of your trolley to reflect the month! Have a great week, Lindart #15
They are so handy aren’t they? Thanks for stopping by!
Oh my word, not only the trolley (which I’d love to have but don’t have the room for) but the spiral bound illustrating Bible and in PINK. Not sure I can warrant getting one of those, but they sure do look nice. Reading further on – I see you have a “craft ROOM” too. I’m just in the corner of my bedroom! Oh my! But I have put some hand cream on and the games sound cool too. Looking forward to seeing your pages in your Illustrating Bible and pondering putting one on my Christmas List – shall I? shan’t I? Hugs BJ#10
This is my second journaling bible and I love it! It’s the Dayspring Illustrating Bible, I got mine from Koorong here in Australia but they are also on Amazon. You should totally put one on your Christmas list!
You’ve given me such a good reminder too, because I tend to get envious of my tiny craft “room” and wish I had a full room, but instead I should be thankful I have my own space to work and organise as I please. Have a crafty weekend! xx
