Sunday Snippets

Around here, it’s been a wild old month. We’ve started the year off with a bang, with three parties in nine days, a trip to Sydney, trying to make the most of our garden (plus some foraging) with lots of fresh veg and preserving and jam making. Butterfly made us an amazing brunch, all prepared from scratch, and Beetle got to do some plane spotting at IKEA. I picked up a new puzzle and spent the weekend working on it, and Butterfly and I had some fun girl time doing our nails with my old stash of jamberry wraps.

There were trips to the aquarium and pub dinners and shopping at Daiso. A hundred trips on trains and trams and metros. Long overdue catch ups with family. Escapee cats and IKEA builds and meetings – so many meetings. Making cakes and toppers and earrings and project life cards that still wait unused. Games of darts and Uno and ticket to ride. New goals and new Words and new rhythms with one less kiddo at home.

Six weeks in, I think I can just about start to catch my breath…
