sunday snippets :: blogtober day 26

scenes from this week

//Boy2 has been getting back into drawing, and his talent never ceases to amaze me
//waking up the old PC and Windows decided to give me a heart attack
//the unseasonably early heatwave had us at the pool twice last week
//the millennial cross-over of the year has me in a chokehold
//Advent project incoming – I can’t recommend the service from Say! Little Hen highly enough; Sarah kindly pulled the four yarns I had chosen, plus two options for a substitute so I could see them together to make a choice (and then they were in the post same day!)
//Thursday nights are self care date nights now Scouts is back for the term
//Tony&Ziva finale was epic
//lots of games with Beetle this week – this one is Coin Craze where we have to buy and sell crypto
//our town festival finale on Saturday night came through with the fireworks

CURRENTLY

Watching// NCIS:Tony & Ziva. The finale on Thursday wrapped up the season beautifully. I saw someone describe the show as a “love letter to fans” and I couldn’t agree more. It was cute as heck, but also not afraid to tackle the messy side of human relationships. It was 300% worth paying for Paramount for a couple of months…and now I’m considering an NCIS rewatch (my first! I’ve only seen it the once when it played on free to air)

Reading// only three books this week, taking me to 18 for October. I’m certainly getting my money’s worth on Kindle Unlimited at the minute as I race to catch up on my goal of 100 books by the end of the year.

Listening// to the BSBxTaylor Swift mashup that is everywhere at the minute. My zoomer child tells me its too much & more than a bit cringe, but like, I’m a millennial, kiddo, cringe is my default operating state and I love the heck out of this remix.

Making// a journal cover for a friend and enjoying playing with fabric again

Feeling// tired. Saturday was a busy day – open homes, market set up, product photography for a friend, market service, late night arrival home + a restless night, all have me contemplating a cheeky Sunday arvo nap.

Planning// for what comes after Blogtober, and after my photo series wraps up.

Loving// this article from The Guardian on how to become a better conversationalist and break out the small talk rut.

How has your week been?
