mothers day wrap
“All I want is a sleep in, no chores, and no bickering kids,” says I. Madam Butterfly looks me straight in the eye, with all the sass a 14.5yo can muster, and asked, “that’s cute, and what colour unicorn would you like?” Cheeky little bugger!
There was no unicorn, but there was minimal carry on from the small (and not so small) folk, a lovely big brekkie, and a fabulous Chilli Heeler cake by said sass-master. I got a coffee in bed and a day of lounging around in my favourite me made clothes, knitting and reading and generally just doing a whole lot of nothing.

On top of the Bookish Knitters Society kit and Ruby Star bundle I had tripped over and then got the guilts about, so pushed them at my husband and told him presents were sorted, the kiddos went all out and spoiled me with my favourite treaties, three books and a long coveted mini press.
And best of all? Bear made it home Saturday night for uni holidays just in time for me to have all my chickens in the nest, for a day of fun & family & filling my cup. What more could a mama of almost-flown babies ask for?
