…day in the life recorded…
I’m not sure how long it has been since I have been this productive. In what I think is a personal record, I have managed to get my day in the life photos not only printed, but completely documented a whole eight days after I took the photos. Procraftinating at it’s finest…though I did convince myself I was actually cleaning, since I “needed” to finish the pages to be able to pack them away and clean my craft room. Yeah, my self-delusion is strong…
I chose to use my self-made filler cards for this project, and gosh it was fun to pull them out and admire them in all their prettiness. It has been far too long since I’ve played with paper and worked on some memory keeping, and it was nice to be back in the groove. I decided to take myself off to a crop on Monday night to help power through the layouts and, in theory, get it done. Which would have been a grand idea…if I didn’t forget my journalling pen. And the paper for my printer…
With the help of some little notecards though, I got the layout sorted, and was so surprised to see I’d ended up filling SEVEN project life pages. To keep it super simple, I chose to do it all in Design F page protectors*, with one 4×6″ pocket, and 10 3×4″ pockets. Then I simply used the Project Life app to create 2 3×4″ prints on a single 4×6″ page, and once saved to my camera roll, ran them all through my Selphy printer the family gifted me a couple of Mother’s Days back. A quick snip of the guillotine, a time stamp added with a paint pen, and my prints were ready to slot into the spaces I had noted at the crop.
For something fun, I thought I would do a video flip through, or scroll down for pictures. These pages are also 7 of 18 pages for my 202020 challenge – look for an update on that in the next week or so!
It’s amazing how much you actually do in a day when you break it down into bits.
It’s crazy! I would never have thought my day would be full enough to fill seven darn pages!! No wonder I’m tired once the kids are in bed!
Loved seeing you on video (even if it was only your hands!) I keep meaning to do a day in the life, but I am so slack at actual finishes these days…
Obviously, the answer is to clean your craft room to an inch of it’s life and be required to keep it that way… it’s the most productive I’ve been in, well, ever…
