I had a tunic top I loved. A soft, light cotton fabric, hot pink in colour, it was my summer staple. Until the elastic gave out, and the shoulders started sagging. It was relegated to the rag bin.

Then I had a little girl. And a wave of inspiration. From a sketch, to a pattern, to an outfit, it was such fun to design and sew my little girl a tunic and bloomers of my own design, from my own top. And I must admit, I was a wee bit chuffed with the results. (please excuse the crappy photos, they were shot quickly inside).
