Project Life 2015
2014 was a bit of a muddle in terms of Project Life & what I was doing. I switched from weekly print-at-home to in-theory weelky print-at-Harvey Norman which mergeed into fortnightly or even monthly “oh crap I’m so far behind”. I also started the year with the Honey edition & all it’s co-ordinating bits, & ended the year mixing in some Studio Calico kits.
This year, I’m not entirely sure how I’ll do my albums. I do know I like the freedom of using as many (or as few) spreads as it takes, so I will be sticking with a more monthly style, and the events in rough chronological order within that month. For now, I plan to do a big batch order of photos at the end of the month, and spend the next month getting it done using the corresponding SC kit – this seems to work better since each kit doesn’t arrive until the 22nd of the month or so.
Is it working? Jury’s out on that. I’ve still got a bit of January to go, but I do have around 100 photos for the album. I plan to blog about my album & process on the last Friday of the month, so I hope that will help keep me accountable. This weekend will be a big one, I am determined to get January finished, as I also have a bit of 2014 to finish. I just need to stop being a fussy bugger. Done is better than perfect, right?
